A deep umber brown with clouds of teal blue drifting across the top and down one side. The brown is warm and a little lighter behind where the subject stands, so faces lift out of it without any extra light on the backdrop.
It suits moody portraits, men's and business headshots, fine art and boudoir. Rust, cream, denim and black all work against it. At 180x270cm there is room for full-length portraits.
The canvas is reversible. The back is a bold mix of cream and grey with patches of blue and rust soaked through, with a lot more texture and movement than the front, like an old plastered wall. That pattern is unique to this piece.
