Sapphire Glow — Deep Blue Hand Painted Backdrop 180x270cm

A deep royal blue hand painted backdrop with a low texture and a brighter, softer centre that fades to a deeper blue at the edges. The glow sits where a subject usually stands, so it does some of the separation work for you. At 180x270cm it covers full-length portraits with room to spare. The surface has no strong marks or strokes, so it reads as a clean colour behind the subject and works well with both bold and neutral wardrobes. The canvas is reversible. The blue soaks through as it dries, and on this one it left a fine, scattered speckle over a pale cream ground, lighter in the middle and denser towards the sides.
