A light to medium grey hand painted backdrop with a soft pink tint running through it. The pink is subtle: in a photo it reads as a warm grey rather than a pink backdrop, which makes skin look healthy and keeps the whole image gentle. The texture is low, with a slight darkening towards the edges.
At 180x270cm it covers full-length portraits, couples and family groups, and it suits newborn, maternity and classic portrait work. It is a calm, forgiving neutral that goes with almost any wardrobe, and the pink tint pairs especially well with blush, cream and soft blue.
The canvas is reversible. The paint soaks through as it dries and leaves the back a warm cream with soft grey drifts and lighter cloudy areas. It looks like aged plaster and gives you a second, warmer background from the same canvas. The pattern is unique to this piece.
