Soul — Olive Grey, Charcoal & Amber Hand Painted Backdrop 270x270cm

Product ref: #00151026

A dark hand painted backdrop in three moods on one canvas. The middle is a muted olive grey, the lightest part, and it is where your subject goes. To the left the canvas turns to charcoal with cold slate-grey streaks and a thin line of rust along the edge. To the right it warms up through amber and ochre before falling into deep olive brown at the far side.

The texture is strong. Long vertical passes run top to bottom, so the canvas reads like an old painted wall rather than a flat colour. At 270x270cm there is room for full-length portraits, couples and small groups, and you can light it two ways: keep the subject in the grey middle for a quiet, moody frame, or move them towards the amber side for warmth.

It suits fine art portraits, editorial fashion, maternity and anything that wants depth and a bit of drama behind it. Olive and amber work well with cream, rust, black and denim wardrobes.

This one is a single piece. It is not planned to be painted again, so the pattern you see here exists only once.

Hand painted in the UK on canvas.

“Absolutely amazing! I needed a backdrop very last minute and had a specific request in mind. The finished result completely exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to add to my collection in future ☺️”

“I bought 3 backdrops from Slav and had the pleasure of unrolling them this morning. The quality of materials is evident and the way they have been treated and painted makes them look ideal for high end portraiture. Having never had proper painted backdrops before, and relying on pop-ups from Lastolite/Manfrotto in the past, I can’t wait to use them.”
