A soft, slightly dusty mid blue with a gentle mottle across the whole canvas. It is not a loud blue; there is a touch of grey in it, so skin stays natural and the colour reads as calm rather than bright.
It works for children's portraits, family sessions, headshots and fashion, and it pairs nicely with white, cream, mustard and rust clothing. At 180x270cm there is room for full-length shots and small groups.
The canvas is reversible. The back is a cream ground with drifts of blue soaked through, heavier in the top corner and along the bottom, a lighter and more playful look from the same canvas. That pattern is unique to this piece.
