Godox QR-P120T Quick Release Parabolic Softbox, Bowens S-Type

The QR-P120T is the larger model in Godox's quick-release parabolic range, with a Bowens S-type fitting. The frame opens by lifting the rods until they click into place, two opposite rods at a time is quickest, and it folds by lifting each rod a touch and pressing the release button. No rods to push into fabric pockets, so set-up and pack-down are quick.

The parabolic shape and silver interior throw the light forward evenly, giving a soft but directional look. It's shallower than the previous generation, which helps in a smaller studio. The inner baffle attaches with a hook and loop strip that runs all the way round, so there are no gaps, and you can shoot with the inner baffle, the outer diffuser, both or neither.

A compact speed ring keeps it easy to store and carry. It's a generous key light for portrait, fashion, beauty, wedding and event work, and for video production. If you want the light kept off your backdrop so a painted canvas falls darker, the matching QR-P120T-G grid is sold separately.
