42cm (16.5") Silver Beauty Dish with Grid

The silver version of our 42cm beauty dish gives you a punchier, cooler light than the white one. The reflective interior brings out specular highlights and fine detail, so it suits beauty, make-up and fashion work where you want skin texture and bone structure to show.

A deflector in the middle hides the bulb and bounces the light around the silver bowl, which fills the dish evenly and gives a light that wraps round the face with more contrast than a softbox. The round shape leaves a clean circular catchlight in the eyes.

Two extras come with it. The diffuser cap slides over the rim to take the edge off when the silver feels too crisp, and the honeycomb grid clips on to tighten the beam and cut spill. With the grid fitted, your key light stays off a painted canvas backdrop, so you can light the background separately and keep full control of how it reads.

It's aluminium and needs no assembly. Choose your fitting from the options: Bowens S-Type, used by PiXAPRO, Godox, Lencarta, Jinbei, Bowens and many others, or Hensel.
