287cm Heavy-Duty Steel Stand

A tall steel roller stand for the heavy end of studio kit. Three lockable castors let you reposition a mounted strobe-and-modifier combination without dismantling anything — the difference between adjusting a light in seconds and re-rigging it. The three-tier column runs from 130cm up to 287cm, high enough to feather a big source down onto standing subjects or light the top of a tall painted canvas evenly. The fitting is the standard 5/8in baby pin, which takes practically every studio light and grip accessory made, and it suits butterfly frames from 5x7ft up to 10x10ft. Steel where it matters means the stand stays planted under weight rather than skating or flexing. Legs fold to 112cm when it needs to travel, though a stand like this mostly earns its living parked in the studio.
