161cm C-Stand with 20in Boom Arm, Detachable Base and Caster Wheels

C-stands started life on early film sets holding big reflectors to bounce sunlight, and they're still the stand grips reach for when the load gets heavy. This one is chrome-finished stainless steel and takes up to 10kg, so a strobe with a large softbox, a scrim or a flag sits on it securely.

The two-section centre column runs from 71cm up to 161cm and has a spring-loaded cushion, so if a lock slips the light settles gently instead of dropping. The 20in boom arm comes off when you don't need it and carries two 2.5in grip heads, which lets you hang a light over your subject or reach in low from the side. It's also handy for holding a black flag between your key light and a painted canvas, so the backdrop falls a touch darker behind the sitter.

The turtle base detaches from the column for storage and travel. Its three legs sit at different heights, so several stands can nest tightly together in a busy set. The base also has a 1-1/8in junior pin receiver, so it can work as a heavy floor stand for lights built on a junior pin. Each of the three 75mm casters has a cast iron connector block, a hard-wearing rubber wheel that won't skid and its own locking brake. They roll on carpet or hard floors, and once the brakes are on the stand stays exactly where you set it.

Returns are inspected in detail. Anything sent back must arrive in the same condition it left: free of marks and scratches, with every accessory, all the protective plastic and all the inner packaging, undamaged. If anything is marked, missing or damaged, the return may not be refunded, or up to 50% may be taken off the refund.
