At 120cm, this is a serious main light for portraits: broad, wrapping illumination and the round catchlights octaboxes are loved for. The FlatPak II frame opens on its redesigned hinge — lighter and lower-tension than the first generation — and folds back to a flat parcel that slides into its slim carry case. The quick-release speedring is the practical upgrade: fittings swap without tools, so the same softbox moves between Bowens, Elinchrom, Broncolor and Profoto mounts as your lighting kit evolves. Inside, a reflective Profi-Line lining and a clear, unobstructed interior squeeze the most from speedlights and COB LEDs; two diffusion layers even the spread, and the included honeycomb grid keeps light on the subject and off a painted canvas behind them. Fabric is rated to 200°C. Softbox only — no light included.
