Terracotta Ember — Rust Red Hand Painted Backdrop 122x180cm

A terracotta hand painted backdrop in a warm rust red, with a low texture and a soft mottle that keeps it from looking flat. The colour deepens slightly towards the edges, which helps hold attention on the subject.

At 122x180cm it is a compact size that suits headshots, seated portraits, children and product work, and it travels easily for location shoots. Terracotta flatters most skin tones and pairs well with cream, denim, olive and black wardrobes.

The canvas is reversible. The terracotta soaks through as it dries, and on this one it left a very pale blush canvas with soft rust freckles, mostly along the edges, with a faint warm haze in the middle. It is a gentle, almost neutral backdrop in its own right, and the pattern is unique to this canvas. Two backgrounds in one.

Hand painted in the UK on canvas.
