Deep Sage — Teal Green Hand Painted Backdrop 180x270cm

A deep sage green hand painted backdrop that leans towards teal: a dark blue-green with a low texture and soft, cloudy variation across the canvas. It reads as a rich, quiet colour rather than a bright one, so skin tones stand out against it and warm wardrobe colours like cream, rust and mustard look especially good.

Because it is dark, it is a good choice for moodier, low-key portraits; add a little light on the backdrop and the green comes forward, take it away and it drops close to black.

The canvas is reversible. The paint soaks through as it dries and leaves the back cream with teal-green patches, heavier towards the edges and lighter in the middle. It looks like weathered plaster and gives you a second, much lighter background from the same canvas. The pattern is unique to this piece.
